The Rudy Report would like to remind you not to plan any events on Wednesdays if you can't spell the day correctly, like today on "National Golfer's Day." Anyways, this is the beginning of your work week. That means you have the most days possible ahead of the weekend. So put your head down, get working, and make it through the week....

Sergio Garcia won the Masters in Augusta in a thrilling finale that ended in a playoff with Justin Rose. The United States, Canada, and Mexico will make a joint bid to host the 2026 World Cup. The NBA salary cap for next season is lower than expected, coming in at $101 million, up from $94.1 million this year. And, in the Premier League, Chelsea remained on top of the table with a win against Bournemouth on the road.

Anyways, there are many conflicts in the world, but most things remain uncertain. The one certainty, however, is that the French will always be the losers....

Rory McIlroy has signed a 10-year, $100 million extension with Nike just ahead of the Masters. Tony Romo will replace Phil Simms as CBS' lead analyst during NFL games. Simms said he will get lawyers involved, because he has an existing contract. And, the Masters in Augusta will tee off today. The Rudy Report thinks that despite some struggles, Jordan Spieth will end up as the winner.

The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Olaf Kölzig, Tim Hasselbeck, Dilip Vengsarkar, and Finnish long jumping legend Tommi Evilä. On this day in 1808, John Jacob Astor incorporated the American Fur Company, that would eventually make him America's first millionaire. The Rudy Report does not understand people that scream on rollercoasters, because it should be expected that they go downhill really fast, like today on "National Deep Dish Pizza Day." Anyways, since Donald Trump has taken office, several things have started to change. Some people are getting worried....

Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant is expected to return from injury this weekend. The Masters tournament at Augusta National will tee off tomorrow. The $33 million salary of LA Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw is higher than the payroll of the entire San Diego Padres roster. In the NBA, the New York Knicks won against Chicago. And, in baseball, the New York Yankees had a win against Tampa Bay.
