The Masters tournament will be played at Augusta National this week. KPMG has published its European soccer team valuations with Manchester United and Real Madrid at the top (2.9 billion Euros each), ahead of Barcelona and Bayern Munich. In the NCAA men's basketball tournament final, Gonzaga will take on North Carolina. In the NHL, the New York Rangers defeated Philadelphia. And, in the Premier League, Arsenal and Manchester City had a 2-2 draw in the top game, while first place Chelsea lost against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea FC is willing to spend more than $85 million on a new striker this summer. Baseball fans will wager more than $36 billion in the upcoming MLB season, most of it illegally. The UEFA is considering instituting a luxury tax for teams that spend more than a proposed cap. In the NHL, the New York Islanders lost against Philadelphia. The NHL will also play games in China this year. And, in the NBA, Brooklyn lost against Detroit.

The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Pavel Bure, Tom Barrasso, Gilles Gilbert, and Estonian heptathlon sensation Kaie Kand. The NFL still has a rule in place that prohibits referees from visiting Las Vegas during the season. The refs have to notify the league of any visits in the off-season.
