Written by Rudy on January 23, 2012 - 1:33 am -The Rudy Report has been online since 2008 with a lot of visitors from every state in the US and countries like Germany, Great Britain, and Italy, but also folks from Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Bahrain, Isle of Man as well as really obscure territories, such as France, which makes us extremely diverse, today on "National Measure Your Feet Day." By the way, the Rudy Report would like to wish you a Happy Chinese New Year. Yes, as always, the Chinese are a few weeks late to the year, but hey, who's counting? To celebrate this day, we honor great people from China. Did you know they even invented the electronic door bell? It was created by these guys...

While Asia is celebrating the Year of the Dragon, the NFL is celebrating the Year of the Giants. The New York Giants beat the San Francisco 49ers in an overtime thriller, shutting up cocky Bay Area fans that tend to get way too excited about their mediocre hometown teams. The Giants will meet the Patriots again in the Super Bowl in Indianapolis. Rudy is predicting a 28-17 Giants win. In the NHL, the Rangers beat Boston in overtime, while the Islanders also had a victory against Carolina. In the NBA, the Knicks lost against Denver in double overtime. We are going into the final week at the Australian Open. And, in the Premier League, ManU beat Arsenal, Chelsea had a draw, Liverpool lost, and ManCity won against Tottenham.
The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Arjen Robben, Larry Hughes, Tito Ortiz, Brendan Shanahan, and Turkish (formerly Bulgarian) weightlifting legend Naim Sueleymanoglu. Grammar isn't the strength of some sites on the Internet. The Rudy Report has never ever made a mistake or typo (prove it!). Some people think a typo may not matter, but sometimes it really does...

The New York Knicks may make a move for Suns point guard Steve Nash. If you're looking for results from the Australian Open, you have to wait. We will only have a look once it gets interesting. Worth mentioning, however: Player Marcos Baghdatis destroyed a record 4 tennis racquets out of frustration during his loss against Stanislas Wawrinka.
