The Obvious Sign

Written by Rudy on October 11, 2011 - 9:47 am -

The Rudy Report is discussing the possibility of excluding the people of Greece from our reports, because they keep screwing everything up, but that's not gonna happen here, today on "World Egg Day." The whole world is full of signs. They are everywhere! Sometimes, a sign can be unclear, sometimes it's pretty obvious. This example right here only really needed the symbol; the text is redundant...

Real Madrid is interested in signing troubled Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez. In the NHL, the Islanders beat Minnesota 2-1. In the MLB playoffs, Texas played a great game against Detroit, winning in the 11th inning, and leading the series 2-0. And, on Monday Night Football, Detroit played against Chicago. The result is not very interesting.

The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Jason Arnott, Orlando Hernandez (it's probably his birthday, but who knows for sure?), Steve Young, and Ukrainian chess sensation Ruslan Ponomariov. On this day in 1910, former President Theodore Roosevelt became the first U.S. president to fly in an airplane. Have a great day, check out the newest Dear Rudy from Hank the Tank, but find out which cheese is the most popular in the Random Fact section!

Recession Special

Researchers from a small university in Mauritania have found that reading the Rudy Report (while running at full speed) can burn as many calories as going to the gym, today on "National Auto Battery Safety Day." The financial crisis has hit many people hard, which means that folks have been looking for great deals to save some money. However, business got hit hard as well, and bars, for example, had to cut down on their Happy Hours...

The New York Yankees brand name is the most valuable in sports with $340 million ahead of Manchester United. That study may not be very current... Sebastian Vettel clinched the Formula One driver's world championship with a third place in Japan. In the NFL, the Giants lost against Seattle, while the Jets lost against the Patriots. In the NHL, the Rangers lost against Anaheim, and the Islanders lost against Florida. What a week for New York sports! And, in the MLB playoffs, Milwaukee and Texas lead their respective series 1-0.

The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Shane Doan, Troy Tulowitzki, Placido Polanco, Chris Pronger, Dale Earnhardt Jr., and German luge legend Silke Kraushaar-Pielach. On this day in 1961, the expansion draft to stock the Houston Astros and the New York Mets took place. Bad Hair Day

Written by Rudy on October 07, 2011 - 7:31 am -

If Google thinks that they can mess with the Rudy Report, they are on the wrong track and should "search" for a smaller opponent, today on "National Bad Hair Day." Yes, it's that time of the year again! But as you know, Bad Hair Day is celebrated every single day in New Jersey. Here is one of the finer examples and this year's winner (Note for people from New Jersey: It's the person on the left)...

Bad Hair 1_1

European soccer governing organization UEFA may ban Turkish club Fenerbahce for three years for its involvement in a match-fixing scandal. The NHL season is starting and the New York Rangers have a decent team. And, in the MLB playoffs, the Yankees left approximately 4,322 men on base, which resulted in a 3-2 loss against Detroit and a subsequent elimination from the competition.

The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Charles Woodson, Evan Longoria, Priest Holmes, Brian Sutter, and Finnish soccer legend Sami Hyypiä (don't try spelling this at home, kids!). On this day in 1950, the New York Yankees swept the Philadelphia Phillies in the 47th World Series. Have a great weekend, there is no new Dear Rudy right now, but find out what tablecloths were used for in the old days in the Random Fact section!

This edition of the Rudy Report is so valuable, it would normally cost everyone $99.90, but because it's you, you're getting it for free, today on "National Garlic Lovers Day." As time goes by, nations become more developed. Let's take a look at our friends in Iraq. They just got their first gas station...

Tonight, the Yankees will take on Detroit in the ALDS, while the Mets and the Red Sox will face each other in the LOL. St. Louis tied the series against Philadelphia at 2-2, which is a surprise. And this sentence is just a filler, because nothing else was really going on.

The Rudy Report says Happy Birthday to Ricky Hatton, Danny Briere, Mark Schwarzer, Tony Dungy, and Irish soccer legend Niall Quinn. On this day in 2007, Jason Lewis completed the first human-powered circumnavigation of the globe. The Rudy Report is asking all readers to "google" all the things you are looking for on Yahoo until Google changes our report's status as spam, which is quite unbelievable, today on "National Story Telling Day." How is it that Living Social Dental & Massage deal mails are not spam and the Rudy Report is spam? Oh Google, you have lots to learn! Anyways, this guy has it all figured out. Rock on!
